Personal data processed:
• Account: email address.
• Profile: name, city, occupation (optional date of birth).
• Financial: the income/expense entries, goals, budgets and credit-card details you enter (last 4 digits only; full card numbers are never stored).
• Usage: Mate chat content, documents you upload for OCR, notification and analytics preferences.
Purposes: to provide the app; to generate AI-based spending analysis, weekly reviews and tips; to manage your subscription; security.
Legal basis: performance of the contract, plus your explicit consent for AI processing and cross-border transfer. That consent is optional: without it the AI features stay off and the rest of the app keeps working.
Recipients & cross-border: shared with these processors to run the service: Supabase (EU/Frankfurt, hosting), our AI provider (OpenAI, US, only with your explicit consent), RevenueCat (subscriptions), PostHog (anonymous analytics, only if you opt in). We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. The provider does not train models on data sent through the API. Data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt); during AI processing it is transferred to our AI provider (OpenAI, US), and only if you have given your explicit consent.
Security: TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest, per-user row-level access (RLS).
